We have a 2004 90FWS camper and really enjoy it. The floor plan fits us giving us some privacy in the bed area and has a lot of storage area for fishing gear etc. We don't have a generator on board but do have the 2000i Honda.
We have put on over 37,000 miles on our camper visiting Alaska, a good part of the lower 48 and Baja. It's a great camper for the type of camping we do Boondocking.

Thanks for posting your photos of the Telegraph Creek area. I've passed this road numerous times but never went up it. But, after seeing your photos I think that this is next years trip. This year we are going up the Haul Road (Dalton Hwy). Again thanks for the information.

My son and I are heading down to the Russian river/kenai river this evening the fishing Monday an Tuesday. anyone know how to fish are, ive heard neongreen and pink Russian river flysare working good for the reds. I head this from a reliable sorce, a friend, who went down for an afternoon and him and his son had maxed out in 15 min. so I think ill give thoes a try. ok , next does anyone know how camping in the government camp grounds has been? ive only got battery that came with the camper and has no labels but it came new with the camper. I will be there 2 nights and have no generator yet, waiting for a Honda or Yamaha anyway to show up on the local craigslist. I think I will run the car a little to get some power when its needed, like taking the chill off in the morning.thanks everyone, this is my second trip with the "new" camper and my first 2-nighter in it.

Go this what your friend or whoever recommanded the Russian river flys. That is probably the correct color to use. As for the Gov't campgrounds down that way. You may want to go early as they fill up rather quickly and there are very few places around to even park. Your battary with a little help from your truck's battary should do just fine.

Yes, I’m running 19.5 wheels (Verison) with XDE Michelin tires (265/70/19.5). The only things I had to do, was trim back the edge of the air dam ½” and lift the front of the truck up a ½”. The truck runs great and feels solid going down the road. The truck loaded feels really good going down gravel, and is a lot safer then with the tires that came on the truck. I now have 24000 miles on these tires and they look as good as the day I purchased them. I'm real happy with mine.:)

I think joe b. makes too many generalizations about Alaskans. Almost none of what he said applies to me or the people I know. I'd rather travel to places in AK and Canada than "America" because I like remote undeveloped places without hoards of people. No offense but that's why I'm in AK and not there.
When I do travel Outside, it's to see people and do things with them, thanks to the AK Airlines credit card and those mileage plan miles! And it's almost always the intermountain west (MT, ID, NV, etc).
Couldn't have said it better myself. I totally agree with you.:B

Did you take your camper over? I've been there a number of times but always wanted to take the camper over and just take some time see the place via the road network. All 100 miles of it. LOL

It took about 6 days to get through Canada and a stop over (3 days) in Seattle for tires etc. Then another 5 days to drive down the Interstate to Baja. The drive across Canada was the only bad part of the trip due to the number of animals on the highway and the darkness for that time of year (Feb). Temps were down in the -40's F :(, we just took our time.
Needless to say on the way down we stayed in Motels and camped out on the way home. Baja was a lot of fun and we really had a great time visiting the missions and meeting the people. And the price of diesel at that time was $1.95 in Baja. We camped out primarily on the beaches : .

We have driven down each time. Last year went to Baja :B for 10 weeks then on up to New Mexico. From there just took our time visiting friends along the way with a stop in Seattle.

Your right about the false spring weather. We just got the cover off our TC and are making plans for the spring. Need to do some mods on the TC and get everything ready. In the early spring we head down to the Kenai and do some camping on the beaches. Later in the summer we normally head up to the Denali Hwy. Good sites and decent Grayling fishing. :)

We make our annual winter trip to Hawaii every other year. In between we take our TC and leave Alaska in March and head down to the Southwest to visit friends and travel around and see the sites. Normally we stay outside for about 90 days then head home. As my sons tell me, go down and get a reality check then come back home. We wouldn't ever want to miss a summer in Alaska.:)

Here in Palmer, AK our Electric and Natural Gas bills are averaged out for the year. Elec runs $152 and Gas $115. But, you need to remember we only get about 4.5 hour of day light at this time of year. But, we are gaining 5 minutes a day. Wow!!!;)
